Logo creation and implementation on uniforms

5 a Day Animation

Little Blessings Childcare is an early-years education provider committed to fostering a safe, joyful and enriching environment for children. I collaborated with the founders at the launch of the business in 2013, creating a full visual identity that helped establish the brand’s presence and values from day one.

Logo & Brand Development
I designed the original logo, which featured a playful, hand-drawn illustration of a baby boy building with educational blocks and a young girl wearing a graduation cap; symbolising both learning and play, in line with the nursery’s slogan: “The Home of Learning and Play.”

The colour palette of green and yellow was chosen intentionally – green to represent growth and yellow to evoke joy and optimism. The logo set the tone for a warm and welcoming brand that appeals to both children and parents.

Digital & Print Assets
In addition to the core brand identity, I produced a range of materials including:

• Social media graphics
• Website layout and visual assets
• Uniform branding for staff and children
• Illustrated posters promoting healthy habits

One standout piece was a set of illustrated recipe posters promoting “5-a-day” fruit smoothie ideas. These were designed to be visually engaging and educational, encouraging healthy eating habits in a fun and accessible way.

Animated Campaign – ‘5-a-Day’ Health Initiative
To further support the nursery’s health initiatives, I created a short animated video for their social platforms. This animation promoted the importance of consuming five portions of fruit and vegetables daily – at breakfast, lunch and dinner; highlighting their role in providing essential vitamins, minerals and fibre. The animation was colourful, cheerful and educational, aligning with the brand’s tone and mission.

This project not only laid the visual foundation for a growing business but also allowed me to explore child-friendly illustration, animation and branding that connects emotionally with both young audiences and their caregivers.
